Invitation for Expression of Interest

eGov Jamaica Limited (eGovJa) wishes to invite eligible and qualified individuals to submit an Expression of Interest and full Curriculum Vitae for Consultancy Service as Corporate Communications Officer (CCO) at eGovJa for a period of two (2) years. 

Procuring Entity: eGov Jamaica Limited 

Assignment Objectives: 

•Works Closely with the CEO, Directors and Department Heads

•Ensures that relevant communiques are developed and disseminated to target groups

•Assists Project Managers and Client Relationship Managers in the proposal development stage to identify appropriate communication activities for projects

•Develops and maintains contact information, materials and relationships

•Drafts and edits articles, press releases, and other advocacy/awareness/compliance materials

•Collaborates with the media to disseminate information

•Monitors and evaluates the use and effectiveness of media communiques

•Maintains a library of media articles, clippings, etc.

•Maintains eGovJa’s website, and creates and monitor social media sites

•Ensures timely and quality production of advocacy and branding materials

•Assists in organizing and generating public support for special events and campaigns to promote strategic goals

Eligibility Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field

•Training in Public Speaking

•Training in the designing and implementation of Public Relations programmes.

•Training in Social Media Management/ Marketing

•Training in ICT

•At least five (5) years of similar work experience is required, preferably in the public service

Shortlisting will be done via comparison of EOIs; shortlisted consultants will be sent a Request For Proposals (RFP) to facilitate selection using the Quality-Based Selection (QBS) methodology defined in the Government of Jamaica’s Procurement Guidelines.
