Network Management & Maintenance
eGovJa’s trained and experienced engineers design and implement Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) for various clients across Jamaica. Designs are developed and implemented with security and redundancy as core considerations, and are done to best meet the immediate and future needs of our respective clients. Our engineers are experienced in advanced WAN technologies such as Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS), and deliver wired and wireless LAN solutions.
Structured Cabling Implementation Management
We have successfully managed the implementation of Structured Cabling solutions for our clients. From requirements gathering and RFP/RFQ Development, through to implementation and handover, the entire process is included in our Structured Cabling Implementation Management Services, ensuring that implementations adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Network Management & Maintenance
eGovJa currently employs the use of a comprehensive Network Management System (NMS), complete with audio alarms and dashboards, to give real time alerts and fault notification for the LANs and WANs managed by eGovJa. This reduces response time and gives quick insight into the status of the networks on a day-to-day basis. eGovJa’s NMS is integrated with our Help Desk System and provides our Help Desk personnel with current information relating to Network faults across the WAN, effectively enabling them to provide real time status reports to our clients. The status of work being done on a network fault is only a click away. Network Maintenance services are also offered for the WAN and LANs managed by eGovJa. Maintenance services include device procurement, replacement, configuration and upgrades. Maintenance services also include additions, moves and changes to existing networks as the needs of our respective clients change.
Network & Security Management
We design, implement and secure networks at eGovJa as well as at clients’ sites. As security is an integral part of any network, the security measures employed ensure that unauthorized and un-trusted traffic does not enter trusted zones. These security measures incorporate the use of various network security devices to provide varying levels of protection for the networks we manage. This includes devices such as, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), Firewalls, and Vulnerability Assessment Scanners (VAS). As network security threats evolve we always seek to implement strategies to keep abreast with these changes and mitigate against them.
