Reporting to the Manager, Application Development, the Programmer Analyst is responsible for developing system functions, assist in preparing detailed program specifications, reviewing, analyzing and modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized tertiary institution.
• 2-3 years’ experience as a Programmer.

Desired Competencies:

The candidate possessing the following will have a distinct advantage:

• Knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming and Design.
• Knowledge in using SQL, HTML / CSS, JAVA, XML  and J2EE technologies and / or Microsoft.Net.
• Hands on knowledge of one or more of the following RDBMS, Informix, DB2, MS SQL Server, MySQL.
• Familiarity with UNIX / Linux Operating System, MS Windows.
• Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Familiar  with agile software development methodologies such as SCRUM.
• Knowledgeable about agile engineering practices such as XP, TDD and Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• Experience working with a  Continuous Integration Server such as Jenkins.
• Experience  writing  unit tests using a Unit Testing Framework.

The salary is J$5.19 million per annum plus any current allowance attached to this position
